Our History

Nestled on the southwestern shore of Lake Simcoe, this beautifully manicured gem has matured into one of the best-kept secrets in the greater GTA area

Originally established in the late 1950s, Harbour View Golf & Country Club Ltd. was formally known as Golf Haven Golf Course and was home to the legendary Moe Norman from the 1960’s through the 1980’s. During this time and under the care and guidance of the Membery Family, Moe dominated the Canadian PGA and Senior PGA Golf Tours.

Harbour View has proven itself to be a pleasure and a challenge for golfers to play for half a century. Tree-lined fairways and dense rough define this 6,200-yard parkland-style golf course.
Consistent and fair putting surfaces provide the golfer with an opportunity to score well, but with water coming into play on 15 out of our 18 holes, course management is what will be the determining factor to your final score.

Offering membership, daily fees, league, tournament play and an easy going and unpretentious atmosphere, Harbour View is truly a place where everyone can feel at home!

A Family Tradition

In 1996 “The Watson Family” who have been in the golf course industry for over 40 years purchased Golf Haven Golf Course, renamed it to Harbour View Golf & Country Club and have continued to improve the course over the years to provide their customers with great golf for many years to come.
